The Smith Tower
506 2nd Ave
Seattle, WA 98104
(206) 622-4004

In 1914 when the Smith Tower opened it was the fourth largest building in the world. With 42 floors and at 522 feet tall it was the tallest building west of the Mississippi River for over 50 years. The unique copper and brass elevators are the last manually operated elevators on the west coast. An elevator operator takes you from the ground floor up to the 35th floor outdoor observation deck. For only $7.50 (for adults) you’ll get one of the best views you can find in downtown Seattle. The observation deck has a 365 degree view that has outstanding views of Safeco field, Mt. Rainier, Elliot Bay, The Space Needle, and Bellevue to name a few. The Smith tower is located in downtown close to Pioneer Square.
