Westlake center is a four level shopping mall located on fifth and pine in downtown Seattle. The front of the building has a town square like atmosphere with a great sitting area good for eating lunch and people watching. The upper level has a wide range of fast food restaurants. It's mostly the typical stuff that you would find in a food court at any other mall. Some of the restaurants are Georgios Subs, McDonalds, Sbarro, Teriyaki Temple, Salena Mexicana, and Thai Go. Sections of the food court allow you to look down at the various levels of the mall which I find more interesting than other malls.

Westlake has a town square feel with sitting areas that are great for people watching. On the upper level there is a balcony with some tables to eat lunch on. The balcony has a great view of Westlake square. It's a great place to sit and people watch. Down below in the square is Starbucks coffee shop and other sitting areas. This sitting area is another great place to do some people watching although the wooden seats are not very comfortable.

Westlake doesn't have as many shops as your typical mall would. There are no department stores like you would usually have in a mall although Macy's is across the street on one side and Nordstrom is across the street on the other side. The shops are setup more for tourists that arrive via the monorail from Seattle center. Some of the shops are F.Y.E music and movies, Hot Topic, Foot Locker, Nine West, Game stop, Lens Crafters, Fossil and Godiva. Click here for a complete list of shops.
