Alki Beach

Overview
Alki Beach is probably the most popular beach in the Seattle area and was the first landing point of Seattle’s founding fathers. It’s located in West Seattle and runs about two and a half miles along Alki Ave. Although California residents might disagree, on a hot sunny day, it reminds me of a California style beach. The wide sidewalk that runs along the beach has a great view of Seattle day or night and is occupied by roller bladders, bicyclists and walkers year round. On the end closest to Alki Point there are quite a few shops, restaurants and bars. The beach also has a few landmarks like the statue of liberty replica, the anchor, and the Alki light house which is further down on the Point.
