The University Village or UVillage is a high class shopping center located off 45th street just down the hill from the University of Washington. It’s not like your typical indoor mall but more like a classy strip mall where the shops are located on the same property but you have to walk outside to get from shop to shop. Because of this you probably wouldn’t want to go explore UVillage on a rainy day. To get the most out of UVillage its best to go in the summer. During the summer merchandise is sold outside kinda like a flee market. It features many upscale shops like Juicy Couture, Tiffany’s, and MAC cosmetics. This is not the place to go if you’re on a budget but rather a place to get quality merchandise. It seems like most of the people go here are walking around window shopping and enjoying the atmosphere than seriously shopping. In the summer Uvillage has outdoor shopping. UVillage is a good place to spend the day window shopping or eating ice cream at the Ben and Jerry’s store. They also have a Johnny rockets and Ram to crave your hunger. If you an avid book reader the Barnes N Noble at UVillage has the best selection of books out of any Barnes N Noble in the Seattle area.
