Key Arena

Overview
First named Washington State Pavilion then later the Washington State Coliseum, Key Arena was built in 1962. It opened on October 25th 1995 after undergoing renovations. It received its current name after the renovations when the naming rights were sold to KeyCorp. Until recently (July 2nd, 2008) Key Arena was the home of the Seattle Supersonics. It's located on the Seattle Center grounds not to far from the Space Needle. Key Arena was also home to the Seattle Thunderbirds until they moved to their new home the Kent Event Center.
